The Monaco Energy Boat Challenge rewards excellence in both on-water performance and technological innovation. Prizes are awarded by the Race Committee and an International Jury, recognising the most outstanding teams, projects and performances throughout the competition.
The Champion is the highest distinction of the rendez-vous. It is determined through a combined evaluation that balances on-water results, the quality of each project’s presentation and communication, and the digital championship ensuring a fair, all-round measure of excellence.

The Race Committee Awards reward the best teams in each class, alongside the standout individual performances achieved on the water. Throughout the competition, the YCM Race Committee evaluates every crew across the full programme of races from qualifying laps and endurance trials to slalom and championship runs translating raw on-water data into a fair, transparent ranking. Each title is presented at the close of the competition, recognising not only outright speed, but also consistency, manoeuvrability and the tactical mastery that set the leading teams apart across the four classes.

Recognises the university presenting the best technological solution for yachting in terms of energy efficiency and carbon reduction. The winner receives a €25,000 research grant to move the solution from innovation to real-world implementation.
