Build it, then race it

Launched in 2021 by the Yacht Club de Monaco and designed by students who have competed in the event, the race simulator turns real engineering trade-offs into gameplay — an accessible, engaging way to discover the technologies behind electric-boat racing.

Build your boat

Create your dream boat by choosing propellers, engines, foils and more — all within a set budget. Choose wisely.

Three challenges

Break the solar-boat speed record, master a slalom course, and test your manoeuvring skills.

Solo or multiplayer

Play alone, invite friends, or race opponents from around the globe in the new multiplayer Championship event.

The competition

The E-Championship

The multiplayer Championship turns the simulator into a live competition inspired by the event’s real race dynamics — a new way for participants and visitors to experience the spirit of the rendez-vous, bridging gaming, innovation and electric-boating culture.

A digital race

A competitive format inspired by the real race dynamics of the Challenge, bridging gaming, innovation and electric-boating culture.

Two stages

Qualifying Sessions narrow the field before the live Championship final — reserved for the event’s Official Teams.

Counts toward the title

E-Championship results feed into the overall ranking, worth 10% of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge Champion score.

2026 edition

Race-week schedule

The E-Championship unfolds in two stages during race week, reserved for the Official Teams. Spectators can follow the finals from the Village.

Qualifying Sessions

Thursday 9 July · 7.00pm

Official Teams only — the qualifying round that sets the grid for the final.

Championship final

Friday 10 July · 8.00pm

Official Teams only — the live final, followed by the prize-giving.
