Adria Autonomous Boat is a multidisciplinary group of students and engineers from Croatia’s Association of Applied Technical Sciences, united by a shared passion for advancing autonomous maritime systems. The team brings together expertise in mechanical design, software development and electrical engineering, allowing it to tackle every part of an autonomous vessel in-house and to approach challenges from several perspectives at once. By combining mechanical innovation, intelligent algorithms and reliable electrical and electronic systems, the team turns complex problems into integrated, working solutions. Through this approach, Adria Autonomous Boat aims to make a meaningful contribution to vessel autonomy, promote sustainable marine technologies, and develop environmentally conscious solutions for a wide range of maritime applications and operations.
The project focuses on an electric racing boat developed by students as a platform for innovation in sustainable maritime engineering. Vilson is a student-designed and built electric vessel that combines lightweight construction and an efficient electric propulsion system to achieve high performance with zero emissions. This year, our development efforts are focused on reducing overall weight, improving handling and manoeuvrability, and increasing efficiency. In addition, we are integrating solar panels to enhance energy utilisation on our boat. Through continuous iteration and testing, Vilson represents our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and practical engineering excellence.
