DTU Float Forward is a student-led team from the Technical University of Denmark, dedicated to advancing clean maritime innovation. The team was created with a single ambition: the advancement of an innovative, highly efficient propulsion system. After a successful debut at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge in 2025, where it secured the Rookie of the Year Award, the team is now focused on building its own custom propulsion system, three times more powerful, while upgrading its powertrain and optimising the cockpit design to push performance further.

DTU FLOAT FORWARD

The second-year team from the Technical University of Denmark, united by a shared goal: developing an innovative, highly efficient propulsion system for clean maritime mobility. After a very successful debut at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge in 2025, where we were honoured with the Rookie of the Year Award, we have raised our ambitions for this season. We are now developing our own custom propulsion system, three times more powerful than our debut setup, while optimising the design of the cockpit to improve ergonomics, efficiency and overall performance. Through this iterative, hands-on approach, the team continues to bridge academic engineering and real-world maritime innovation.
